Sun on the Beach

Snapped a few lovely photos this morning – before it got beastly hot.
Here’s one of them

An Author’s Work is Never Done?

Hooray! I’m officially on vacation… from the day job. However, my work as an author is ongoing. It’s a labor of love, though. You’d be amazed how much editing and revising you can accomplish as a passenger in a vehicle. Admittedly, this part of the process may kill a tree or two; I save it for when I feel the book is close to a final revision.

Before I left for my vacation, I printed out (double-sided) most of Wyldling Trials, except for the last four chapters of the book, which have not been critiqued yet. Then I took out my blue pen and began going over the manuscript with a fine-toothed comb. Metaphorically speaking, of course. Combing a page of paper in a literal sense does little to facilitate the revision process, and I do not recommend it.

I also plan to get some work done on a project in between visits to the beach. There’s a first draft of a novella that needs finishing before the end of June. For now, I’m keeping it a mystery, but it is not directly related to the Wyldling Dream series. I know; what a shock! As soon as I have this new story critiqued and edited, I’m going to try it out Kindle Vella. Stay tuned for more.

I’m off to the beach.

Author Interview – A Noble Review

I had the honor of being interviewed by three awesome young ladies last week! Check it out on Instagram. We had a blast. It was great to meet and chat with them. I was happy to hear they enjoyed reading Wyldling Snare! It’s fun to find out what different folks get out of the book. They asked me insightful questions—both about Wyldling Snare and about being a writer, in general. Hopefully my answers were helpful and informative for aspiring authors.

Soon, the Noble Girls plan to post their content on Youtube in podcast form. If you don’t want to miss out, then may I suggest subscribing to their channel? The Noble Girls review all sorts of YA literature, so I recommend following them on Facebook and Instagram to see what they have on the docket. And if you happen to be a YA author, you can also request that they review your book. Look for their email address on their Facebook page or you can message them via Instagram.
