I’m really excited! Not only is Christmas around the corner—a time to enjoy time with friends, family, and Jesus—but I had a really crazy idea. You see, I’m in the process of writing the third book in the Wyldling Dream series, and I decided that the narrative requires more dragon representation. Why? Because I adore dragons. And a plot-based reason that I won’t reveal because … spoilers. Sorry. But rest assured, fellow dragon-lovers, I am adding another “dragon” to book three. That means there will be not one … not two … but THREE dragons appearing in  Wyldling Armor. I appreciate the symmetry in that. Don’t you? Perhaps I can even up the ante by having four dragons in the fourth book, which is definitely a possibility. We’ll see.

In the Teharan universe, dragons are not referred to as “dragons.” Depending on which human society you belong to, these huge, reptilian creatures with human intelligence and magical abilities are called evaingynon, Sages, or wyrmkin. Unfortunately, the true “dragons,” which I shall refer to as Sages, are quite rare. There were only seven of them and until quite recently, folks believed them extinct. Historical records of all surviving societies agree that the great Sages of renown fell during the Oblivion Wars over a thousand years previously. But now, young people have begun encountering the Sages in their dreams. And let me tell you, there are a lot of things you can do—or be—in the dreamscape that aren’t possible in the waking world unless you possess a great deal of magical power …
